If you want to lose fat fast ...

…bypass this post. You will never, ever hear me advertise ways to lose fat fast. Sorry. That’s not what I do. There are plenty of coaches who do, so don’t despair. I know that quick fixes are what sell. I know that we live in a microwave society and no one wants to wait for anything. But I have to agree with the e-Harmony ads when they ask the question, “Do you want fast or forever?” Quick weight loss is awesome but almost always turns into quick weight gain. The things that you have to do in order to lose weight fast are not sustainable. In other words, at some point in time you have to stop that behavior and then the weight comes back with a vengeance. Make it Yourself!

A few weeks ago I went to Tropical Smoothie. I try to be mindful of what I eat and 99% of my meals are made at home, however, on this particular day I was running around like a maniac and I knew I hadn’t prepared anything so I stopped for a sandwich and a smoothie. Before I started my fitness journey I would frequent Tropical Smoothie quite often. For some reason or another just the word “smoothie” makes you think “healthy”. Anyway I read an affirmation recently that really got me thinking: I choose to take action in spite of my fear of failure. No matter what happens, I give myself credit for daring to try. After I read this, I had to ask myself, why does the thought of failure sc

A friend of mine contacted me yesterday and she was a bit under the weather. She asked if I would help her with her meal prep and bring her some soup. What a great idea! I started flipping through my favorite soup recipes and I couldn’t decide which one to prepare so I chose three of my favorites: Chicken with brown rice and mushrooms – chicken soup is the perfect meal if you are under the weather or if you just want a delicious comfort food. I add onions, carrots and celery and I replace egg noodles with brown rice becau
