Maintain Mental Health

  • - Prioritize yourself

  • - Remind yourself of your own greatness

  • - Ask for what you want and believe that you deserve it

  • - Practice kindness toward yourself and others

  • - Seek help from a professional if necessary

Maintain Spiritual Health

  • Accept that there is something in this world greater than you

  • Connect daily through prayer and meditation

  • Don't stress over things that you cannot control

  • Practice gratitude daily

  • Surround yourself with positive people

Maintain Physical Health

  • Eat whole, nutritious foods and drink plenty of water

  • Lift weights to build strength

  • Cardiovascular exercise to build a strong heart

  • Get plenty of sleep

  • Supplementation if necessary

Everyone's road to a healthy lifestyle may not be the same but I believe we can all agree that "true fitness" is not just about having a perfect body.  What is "perfect" anyway?  True fitness encompasses all aspects of our lives: mental, spiritual and physical.

My own Road to Fit started long before I ever stepped foot in the gym.  Once I realized that I needed to do work on my mental and spiritual health then I was ready for the physical piece.  It all works together.  Watch the video above to see how I got there.
