Happy New Year

Happy new year everyone!

 

My hope is that your 2020 is off to a good start and that you have set your intentions, goals and/or resolutions.  Call it what you want but I believe that you should always have something in front of you, something that you are reaching for.  It helps to keep you focused and the fact is, if you are not intentional about the things in your life than you are constantly living a life of reacting to what happens as opposed to being proactive and creating what happens.  Does that make sense?

 

I know that making resolutions is so passé and no one wants to admit to making them and I know why.  It’s usually because people are fearful of failing.  We are afraid of making a bold declaration at the end of the year only to publicly fail.  How many times have you said that you are going to lose weight, or read more, or travel more or … whatever that thing is only to get overwhelmed and quit?  It happens to all of us.  I can’t tell you how many books I have currently in my Amazon cart right now because I decided that I was going to read a book a month.  I have yet to get started.  One day, maybe.

 

Anyway, those experiences of “failure” should not deter us from continuing to make plans for ourselves. None of us gets it right 100% of the time but if you never try than you are guaranteed to never get it right.  I’ll say that again:

 

 

I don’t know about you, but I would rather a person who tries and fails than a person who never tries.

 

 

So, what do you want to get done this year?
